See & do

📍

Tver is an old Russian city, but most of its architecture didn't survive the war and economic crisis of the 1990s. The city center is completely rebuilt, first by Catherine the Great in the 18th century, then after WWII in 1945. The remnants of old Tver begins from the northern end of Tryokhsvyatskaya street. Tryokhsvyatskaya street is a local version of Moscow's Arbat. It's a pedestrian street where most of the cafés, art spaces, and bars are. The main embankment of the Volga river is also popular. Several churches and palaces survived, but most of them are museums now.
